Ari Brown @ MCA

The Tuesdays on the Terrace series at the Museum of Contemporary Art continues with local saxophone colossus Ari Brown. Brown is one of many of Chicago's hidden treasures on the jazz scene, a monstrous talent with world class chops and musicality. His band features his brother Kirk on piano, Yosef Ben Israel on bass, and Sun Ra alumni Avreeayl Ra on drums. Their recent Delmark Records CD and DVD release Live at the Green Mill gives you a sense of their intense rapport and vibe, but they are best caught live in person, so don't miss it. Besides, it's free, it's outside, and there's booze. What more do you want? Ari Brown plays the MCA Terrace on Tuesday, June 10th, from 5 - 8 PM. No cover. 220 E Chicago.
