The Neo-Futurists present their seventh annual "film fest" of staged readings of the worst films ever! Tonight's film is Ring of Fear, a psychological thriller about circus life. Yes, really. It Came From The Neo-Futurarium happens every Thursday night through July 31. Tickets are $10, $2 off for students and repeat customers, and the shows start at 8:00 PM. The 'Ukulele Club of Oak Park is planning to shoot for a world record number of 'uke players onstage at this year's Feat for Beatles Fans. To accomplish this, they need a lot of 'ukulele players at any playing level. So if you're interested, show up tonight at Eastgate Cafe (845 Lyman Avenue, at the corner of Harrison and Lyman in Oak Park) tonight from 7:00 to 9:00 to receive your instructions. You'll be learning a Beatles song or two, and there'll be plenty of help to get you strumming. The practice sessions will happen Thursday nights at 7 at the cafe until the festival, so if you can't make it tonight come by next week.
