Tonight, stalwart Dutch free-folk punkers, longtime Chicago underground faves, and Touch & Go artists The Ex return to town to play a special set with Ethiopian jazz saxaphonist Getatchew Mekuria. The two first collaborated a few years ago when the Ex invited Mekuria to play with them in the Netherlands, which ultimately led to the saxophonist asking the band to serve as his backing ensemble on his Moa Anbessa album in 2006.
