World Kitchen: Pepper, Paprika and More @ Gallery 37

Tonight's class (6pm-8:30pm) will help you distinguish between spicy spices and how to use them when cooking. "Pepper, Paprika and More" is offered as part of the World Kitchen learning series offered by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, and will be held at the Gallery 37 Center for the Arts, 66 E. Randolph Street. Admission is $30 and preregistration is required. Please wear non-skid shoes and bring your apron!

Ernest Dawkins' Chicago 12 @ Velvet Lounge

Ernest Dawkins created the Chicago 12 to feature the best in up and coming talent in Chicago jazz alongside some of the most established veterans. He has written three suites of music for the band, and tonight he will present the third: Un-till Emmett Till. In addition, the show will act as a CD release party of the music.
