Dance for the Camera @ Chicago Cultural Center

In "Dance for the Camera" 2008 (scroll down once you get to that link), Hedwig Dances and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs, in association with the Dance Films Association, present "innovative examples of dance films created by artists in the Midwest and around the world." This year's theme is "Landscapes and Interiors," focusing on the interaction between human activity and physical setting.

John Hodgman & David Rees @ Second City

Second City's ETC Theatre presents an evening with authors John Hodgman (spawner of the incredibly brand-new More Information Than You Require) and David Rees (author of the Get Your War On comic series). Coincidentally, these two authors will have plenty of copies of their recently-published books for sale. Amazingly, this event is completely free. "Our Singular Moment" Lecture and Discussion

Greenheart, an environmental organization, presents the lecture and discussion "Our Singular Moment," which is designed to help society cause change in the world.
