WNYC's Radiolab: Martian Invasion @ Victory Gardens
Radiolab, a spectacular WNYC radio program, comes to Chicago for two nights of shows. Their topic: "Martian Invasion", specifically the legendary "War of the Worlds" radio broadcast of 1938. "Martian Invasion" runs tonight and tomorrow night at the Victory Gardens Biograph Theater (2433 N. Lincoln) at 7:30pm. Tickets are $30 and can be purchased through the Victory Gardens Website or by calling the box office at (773) 871-3000.
Sean Chercover @ Book Cellar
Local crime author Sean Chercover comes to the Book Cellar to read from and sign his latest novel Trigger City. The book continues the investigations of P.I. Chicago International Film Festival
The Chicago International Film Festival runs until October 29 at several theaters across the city. Box office is at the AMC River East 21 at Illinois & Fairbanks and the AMC at 600 North Michigan; you can also buy tickets online.

Folktronic quintet Office plays a free show alongside fellow Chicagoans The Living Blue, Take the Panda and Michigan's Hardy Mums tonight at Schubas, 3159 N. Southport. Show starts at 9pm. 21+
