Gentlemen of NUCO Perform (mostly) Radiohead

Northwestern University-based ensemble The Gentlemen of NUCO will perform original arrangements of songs spanning Radiohead's albums, as well as music by Bjork, The Flaming Lips, Sufjan Stevens, and Sigur Ros. Performances today and tomorrow, 8:30pm in Northwestern's Regenstein Recital Hall (MCR), 60 Arts Circle Drive, Evanston, IL. "Who Is SOLVE?" Show @ Country Club

Country Club Gallery (1100 N. Damen) hosts a show opening tonight, 6pm-10pm, concentrating on the work of slain Chicago artist and graphic designer Brendan Scanlon. Los Hermanos @ Sonotheque

Meiotic's Jackson parties have spanned the scope of uptempo IDM, Detroit-style electro, techno and house and the collective now relaunches in the new year at Sonotheque, retaining their commitment to bring the widest range of modern electronic sound to Chicago in dance-party format. On January 16 they will present the debut performance from Los Hermanos of Detroit's seminal Underground Resistance crew. The three piece's live performance has rocked clubs and festivals the world over and furthered the UR sound. Sticks Opening Reception @ Intuit

Sticks opens tonight at Intuit: The Center for Intuitive and Outsider Art, 756 N. Milwaukee. The exhibition features self-taught artists who have created pieces out of, well, sticks: telephone poles, toothpicks, logs, matchsticks, branches... The reception is from 5-8pm with beer provided from Chicago's Half Acre Beer Company. The event is free but donations are always accepted.
