Tomorrow Never Knows continues at Schubas. TNK is a music festival featuring up-and-coming indie artists. Tonight's bands are: Hey Champ, Thunderheist, The Wonderful World Of Bald Eagle, Pretty Good Dance Moves DJs, Fly By Night and Friends with DJ Willy Joy, Red Foxx (SLUTTT, Hearthrob, Boston), and Capcom. Snout to Tail @ Notebaert/Green City Market

To kick off the re-opening of the 2009 Green City Market year-round market (held indoors for right now), Rick Bayless (Frontera Grill), Paul Kahan (Blackbird) and Paul Virant (Vie) are among the chefs who will be cooking with pork from the Market today at the Notebaert museum from 8am-1pm. The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, 2430 N. Cannon. Event is free, but RSVP required.

Beer School Beer Festival @ Sheffield's

Sheffield's (3258 N. Sheffield) presents its first beer festival this afternoon from 1-4pm. With beers from fifteen different craft breweries, you'll be able to sample some limited edition and rare microbrews and talk to representatives from well-regarded breweries, such as Bells, Three Floyds, and Surly. Tickets cost $40 and include 12 drink tickets and passed appetizers. Only 100 tickets are available, so reserve your spot by calling 773-281-4989.

Senator Obama Goes to Africa @ Chicago Filmmakers

Get into the inauguration spirit as Chicago Filmmakers presents Senator Obama Goes to Africa tonight at 8pm, 5243 N. Clark Street. The film follows then-Senator Obama as he visits South Africa, Kenya and a Darfur refugee camp in Chad in 2006. Admission is $8 ($7 student; $4 members). The eighth annual Chicago Sketchfest continues today and runs through the 18th at the Theatre Building Chicago, 1225 W. Belmont Ave.

Queen of Samba 2009

Hothouse presents its annual contest for the best female samba dancer in Illinois. Dancers compete for cash prizes to music by Chicago Samba. An Appetizing Reading Series @ Book Cellar

Appetite Theatre comes to the Book Cellar for the first installation in their new reading series. Tonight they will feature Ross Maxwell's Blind, Bleeding, Drugged and Drunk, a satircal comedy about an emerging playwright who wins a grant for her play about AIDS, only to find out that she can only win the award if she is a gay white man.
