Handmade Market @ The Empty Bottle

Handmade Market is a unique event to connect the makers of beautiful things to people who appreciate the unique and handmade. This free event takes place from noon until 4:30 p.m. at The Empty Bottle (1035 North Western Ave.).

Belles and Whistles @ Music Box Theatre

The Music Box Theatre presents Michelle "Toots" L'Amour and her Chicago Starlets in Belles and Whistles, a Valentine's Day themed burlesque show. Dancing, music and short films will be presented in the late night program. Belles and Whistles happens tonight and tomorrow night at the Music Box. Doors open at 11:30 PM, show starts at midnight. TINY TITANS DAY with Art Baltazar

Tiny Titans creator Art Baltazar comes by Challengers to sign and sketch. They'll also be giving away a whole mess of Tiny Titans-themed Valentine's Day treats. ChicagoImprovAnarchy @ Gorilla Tango Theatre

ChicagoImprovAnarchy takes on reality television with their newest production, "Dirty Scoundrels," which tackles an entire season of a fake reality TV show in 45 minutes, complete with maniacal challenges, hazardous alliances and back-stabbing opponents. The show runs Saturdays in February at 10pm at the Gorilla Tango Theatre, 1919 N. Milwaukee. Tickets are $10 and are available at the box office or online. For more information call 773-598-4549.

F____d Up @ Empty Bottle

As the second of two Chicago appearances this evening, the Toronto-based punk sensation Fucked Up play a headlining set at the Empty Bottle tonight. A/V Murder and Boystown are scheduled to open. The show starts at 10pm and tickets are $10. 1035 North Western Ave. See our Transmission page for more details.

The Godfathers at Metro

Seminal 1980's British rock band The Godfathers are returning to the States for the first time in 20 years. They're bringing their St. Valentines Day Massacre show to the Metro, the first time they've done this tradition outside of London.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of. The show is 18+ and doors open at 8:00 with the band scheduled to go on at 9:00.

Ukulele Cabaret @ Silvie's Lounge

Silvie's Lounge presents the latest installment of Ukulele Cabaret, an occasional evening of ukulele playing. Tonight's theme, in keeping with Valentine's Day, is songs of love, lust and heartbreak. Performers are allowed up to three songs and up to 15 minutes to perform. The event is free and open to the public. F____d Up @ AV-aerie

As the first of two Chicago appearances this evening, the Toronto-based punk sensation Fucked Up play an early, all-ages show at the AV-aerie this evening. Chronic Seizures open. The show starts at 7pm and tickets are $10. (Note: This show was originally scheduled to take place at High Concepts Laboratory. The venue has changed; but according to the Empty Bottle's website, all tickets purchased for the prior venue will be honored.) 2000 W. Fulton.

Chicago Neighborhood Tours: The White City

Get a dose of what made the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition so spectacular on the Chicago Neighborhood Tours "White City" tour. The day starts at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington, at 10am with a slide presentation and discussion, then continues to Jackson Park, Midway Plaisance and Osaka Garden, concluding at the Chicago History Museum where the elevated train that transported fairgoers to the exposition is displayed. The tour is 6 hours long and lunch at a local restaurant is included. Tickets are $50, $45 for students and seniors, and are not available online for this tour. Party rockers Flosstradamus serve up a sexy mash-up of electroclash remixes, 90s super-jams and good old fashion juke 'n' hip hop tonight at Abbey Pub (3420 W. Grace St). This year the danceable duo added Gatekeeper and Yello Feverto the mix. Look out for other "special" TBA guests too. Doors at 9pm, show from 10pm until 3am. 18+ Tickets are $5 at the door.
