Riotous, indefatigable, and maybe just a little plain crazy, the Israeli punk trio (and Drag City recording artists) Monotonix are doing yet another one of the long, meandering tours through the U.S. While they seem to prefer playing the warmer climates of the American South, they're making a northward zag to play a few dates in the upper Midwest. If you haven't had the chance to catch their amazing live show yet, tonight would be a good chance to do so. Turbo Fruits open. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. Doors open at 9pm. 1354 West Wabansia.
Victory Gardens Theater presents What Does The Sun Sound Like? by Arlene Malinowski, which tells her story of growing up in a family of deaf adults as a hearing child. The show has been playing across the country, and it comes to the Victory Gardens Biograph Mainstage (2433 N. Lincoln Avenue) for two nights only: tonight and tomorrow night at 7:30pm. For more information and to purchase tickets please see the Victory Gardens Website.
Schuba's (3159 N. Southport) second installment of their science series Night Lab features Duquesne University biologist Dr. Sarah Woodley, who will discuss the science of sex and attraction. This free event runs from 7-9pm and is open to ages 21 and up.
