The Empty Bottle presents a show at AV-aerie (2000 W. Fulton, near Damen) featuring Merge Records artist The Music Tapes, Athens GA band Nana Grizol, and artist and musician Brian Dewan. The show starts tonight at 8pm. Tickets are $10 in advance and can be purchased through Ticketweb.
American Science & Surplus will be holding a free Comet Lulin viewing party at its Geneva/West Chicago store, 33W361 Roosevelt Rd , tonight from 8pm to 10pm, weather permitting. They'll have several telescopes and binoculars set up for the public to view this once in a lifetime event. Call 630-232-2882 to confirm the event if the skies are not clear.
