One and the Same: Burnham the Architect and Burnham the Planner
The Chicago Architecture Foundation presents this lunchtime lecture by Kristen Schaffer, Ph.D., Associate Professor, School of Architecture, North Carolina State University as part of their celebration of the 100th anniversary of Daniel Burnham's Plan of Chicago. Schaffer will look at Burnham's usage of public space and how it connected his architectural and planning work. The talk takes place at the Foundation's John Buck Company Lecture Hall Gallery (224 S. Michigan Ave.) from 12:15-1pm. Free.
Modeselektor + Apparat @ Bottom Lounge
Moderat, the combined musical entity of German electronic artists Modeselektor and Apparat, headline at the Bottle Lounge tonight as they tour the States to support their recent collaborative debut album.
