God's Pottery @ The Lakeshore Theater

Satirical Christian acoustic duo God's Pottery -- known for such hits as "Jesus I Need a Drink" and "The Pants Come Off When The Ring Goes On" -- pop into Chicago to play The Lakeshore Theater (3175 N Broadway St) with opener Tim Harmston. As if crooning for Christ wasn't enough, Jeremiah Smallchild and Gideon Lamb also penned What Would God's Pottery Do? The Ultimate Guide to Surviving Your Teens and/or Being Successful, "chock full of their Biblical-know-how and charming out-of-touchness.": SNL's Will Forte says, "If you want to go to heaven, buy this book. If not, see you in hell. Or rather, see yourself in hell -- I'll be in heaven (I bought the book)". Tickets for the 8pm show are $12 and available from The Lakeshore Theater.

Vaudezilla's Naughty November Burlesque @ The Blue Bayou

The broads of Vaudezilla are back on the Blue Bayou's bartop for Naughty November, a night of free burlesque! Stop by 3734 N. Southport Avenue Thursday November 19th for their weekly 10 p.m. show. Wolfgang Plöger Artist Talk @ AIC's Price Auditorium

Plöger's artist's talk is in conjunction with the current exhibition On the Scene, which features new work by emerging artists. Plöger's work is interdisciplinary, using elements of photography, film, and sculpture. Currently on view at the Art Institute, Make No Mistake about This (2008) uses the text of death row inmates'
final statements as found on the internet. The lecture is from 6-7pm in the Price Auditorium at The Art Institute: 111 S. Michigan. Admission is free. For for information, visit AIC's website.

MFA Open Studios @ UIC

25th Annual Passport to France @ Union League Club

Celebrate French culture with the French-American Chamber of Commerce - Chicago Chapter (FACC) tonight from 6pm to 9pm at the Union League Club of Chicago (65 W Jackson Blvd).
