Ruffle Your Feathers @ Betty's Blue Star Lounge

Start a new tradition this Thanksgiving Eve with Vaudezilla's "Ruffle Your Feathers" burlesque show. Stop by Betty's Blue Star Lounge (1600 W Grand Avenue) at midnight to see a cornucopia of burlesque beauties, including Red Hot Annie, Wham Bam Pam, and Titi Touche (we promise they'll be less prim than Pilgrims). Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Visit Vaudezilla's website to buy tickets and for a complete list of performers.

The Muppet Movie @ Film Center

The Gene Siskel Film Center presents a screening of the Muppets' first feature film, The Muppet Movie from 1979. The film starts at 6pm. See the Film Center Website for details. Film Center: 164 N. State. (312) 846-2600.

Galactic Inmate @ Cal's Bar

Cinema 16 @ Chopin Theatre

Cinema 16, a touring film program that uses local musicians to bring old films to life, makes it's final stop tonight at the Chopin Theatre. DJ Hunter Husar and Chandeliers, a local music ensemble, will play original scores for three short films -- Aleph, Oramunde, and Junky's Xmas. Complimentary cocktails are served courtesy of Drambuie.
The screening starts at 7:30pm and is 21+. Admission is free with anRSVP.

Earthless @ Reggies

The instrumental stoner-rock trio Earthless consists of former members of Hot Snakes, Nebula and Electric Nazarene. Their psychedelic jams push 20 minutes each, though never do they trail off. On 2008's Live at Roadburn, the band's live prowess is documented in fine fashion with an 80-minute set packed tight with heavy riffs held together by Mario Rubalcaba's always ferocious drumming. They play Reggies with Baroness headlining and An Albatross opening. The show is for ages 17+ and begins at 8PM. Tickets are $12 and available through the venue's website. Reggies is located at 2109 South State Street.

Rob and Allison Leavitt @ Green City Market

Rob and Allison Leavitt of Mado will conduct a 10:30am chef demonstration at Green City Market which is currently located at the Notebart Nature Museum (Fullerton and Lake Shore). This will also be the last day to pick up any local Thanksgiving goodies.

Kid Sister with Flosstradamus @ House of Blues

Chicago native and Kanye West's protégé Kid Sister plays her first show after the release of her first album Ultraviolet tonight, with Flosstradamus at the House of Blues. Supporting her is Rob Threezy with a special guest appearance by Green Velvet. The show starts at 6:30pm and is all ages. Tickets are $16 in advance, $18 the day of the show.

Get Some @ Rodan

King Hippo plays a brand new set of funk, soul, Brazilian, psych, jazz, boogie and deep disco with co-conspirators Onenine 77 and New York's Spinello tonight at Rodan (1530 N Milwaukee). Skillfully selected sounds and video projections should make Get Some a great pre-Thanksgiving warm-up. 10p-2a.
