The D-Cup Diaries @ Gorilla Tango Theatre

In partnership with the Breast Cancer Network of Strength, playwright Melody Swink's homage to cleavage comes to the Gorilla Tango Theatre. Seven characters, all portrayed by actor Sara Tode, come to life on the stage and explore the complicated relationship that women have with their breasts. The piece touches on issues of size, surgical augmentation, and mother/daughter dynamics; and features original music, including "The D-Cups Theme Song" and "Unfasten Me." Mark Contorno directs.

Sing-A-Long Sound of Music @ Music Box

The Music Box Theatre presents its annual sing-a-long version of The Sound of Music tonight at 7pm. The audience will be encouraged to participate by being given bags of props to be used at appropriate times, and costumes are encouraged. It's a Wonderful Life @ The Biograph

American Blues Theater kicks off its 2009-2010 season with this classic story, based on the 1946 Frank Capra masterpiece, performed as a period radio play complete with commercial breaks. The same creative team who brought this classic piece to Chicago audiences for six years once again brings the town of Bedford Falls to life, this time with a new adaptation at the new Victory Gardens Studio. Marty Higginbotham directs. Tickets are $20-$30 for previews (through Nov. 29); $50 for the Dec. 3 press opening and $30 -$40 for the regular run through Dec. 27. The Great Muppet Caper @ Film Center

The Gene Siskel Film Center presents a screening of Jim Henson's 1981 film The Great Muppet Caper. The film shows this afternoon at 3pm, and again tomorrow afternoon at 4pm. See the Film Center Website for details. Film Center: 164 N. State. (312) 846-2600.

Lincoln Park Zoo Lights Open

The Lincoln Park Zoo kicks off its annual Zoo Lights tonight. 5-9pm, 11/27-11/29, 12/4-12/6, 12/11-12/13, 12/18-1/3. Admission is FREE.

The Big Pink/Crystal Antlers @ Empty Bottle

British post-shoegaze band The Big Pink plays tonight at the Empty Bottle. The band released their debut album, A Brief History of Love in September and is now on their first North American Tour. Also playing is psych prog rockers Crystal Antlers who always have amazing shows at the bottle. Rumors are they will be playing some super new material. Local band White Car opens. The show is $13 and starts at 9:30. The Empty Bottle is located at 1035 N. Western.
