LTH Forum's 5th Annual Christmas Eve @ Happy Chef
If you don't celebrate Christmas (or need a reason to escape from a get-together), LTH Forum is holding their annual Chinese Christmas Eve dinner tonight at Happy Chef at 6pm (2164 South Archer). Meal price around $30. RSVP required.
Nirvana Night @ The Burlington
If you're ignoring Aunt Barb's invite for Christmas dinner in the suburbs to just drink some whiskey and listen to records, you don't necessarily have to do so alone. DJ Kickball will be at the Burlington (3425 W. Fullerton) hosting another installment of his Nirvana Night - the musical influences that shaped Kurt and Co. (including Daniel Johnston, The Wipers, Hum, Mudhoney and the like). There's probably few better ways to steel up before the trials of Christmas morning. Starts at 9:30pm, no cover.
Christkindlmarket (Last Day)
It's your last chance to celebrate baby Jesus like a German! Today is the last day of the annual Christkindlmarket (the "Charming German American Holiday Festival for Friends and Families") at Daley Plaza. If you are looking for something to do with your kids because they've been out of school all week for Winter break and are spazzing out, or if you've got in-laws in town for Christmas and you don't want them sitting around your house, judging you, this may be your answer. 11am-4pm.
