The folk and bluesy sound of The Low Anthem comes to Lincoln Hall tonight, (2424 N. Lincoln Avenue). Appearing with the band will be Nathaniel Rateliff, who has appeared at SXSW. The Chicago Nerd Social Club is organizing a meetup mashup for this evening at 7:30pm at the Mystic Celt (3443 N. Southport). Several other groups will be in attendance, including: a Chicago Board Games Meetup; RPG Chicago; a Chicago Horror Meetup; a Chicago Sci-Fi/Fantasy Meetup; and many more. The Chicago Pleasure Salon, celebrates its first anniversary with a party at Villains Bar. Known as "A gathering of sex-positive activists", the mission of the Pleasure Salon is to encourage networking and an open exchange of ideas about sex and sexuality. All are welcome. Frank Gehry, the Deconstructivist genius behind Bilbao's Guggenheim, Seattle's Experience Music Project, and Chicago's own Pritzker Pavilion will present the latest Cindy Pritzker Lecture on Urban Life and Issues. 6pm, at the Cindy Pritzker Auditorium (Lower Level) of the Harold Washington Library (400 S. State St), free.
