Rush @ Charter One Pavilion

The Canadian Power Trio comes to Northerly Island tonight as part of their Time Machine Tour. Tickets, if you don't already have them secured, are pretty steep, running upwards of $100 and more. All City Affairs @ Edible Audible Picnic

Grab your lunch and take it to Pritzker Pavilion at noon for an Edible Audible Picnic. All City Affairs is the song writing, beat making, and general musical output of Chicagoan, Peter Andreadis, also known as the drummer in long running Chicago rock trio Baby Teeth. With synth bass lines and looping drums, All City Affairs' layers of guitars, keyboards, percussion, melodicas and more create their own world for the listener to swim in.

The Red Machine @ Facets

The Red Machine (2009) follows Eddie Doyle, master safe cracker on his way to jail who is offered the opportunity for forgo his sentence by helping Lt. F. Ellis Coburn and the US government pull the theft of a lifetime. The film combines a heist movie with a classic espionage flick to create a dynamic between Doyle and Coburn that keeps the film in high gear. There are two screenings - 7 pm and 9 pm. Tickets are $9 for general audience and free for Facets members. Filmmakers Stephanie Argy and Alec Boehm will perform a Q&A about the film following the screening. Tickets can be purchased through the Facets box office or their website.

Ratchet @ Skylark

Performing tonight at Ratchet's weekly jazz and creative music series is the Keefe Jackson Quartet with Jackson on reeds, Matt Schneider on guitar, Anton Hatwick on bass and Ratchet founder Frank Rosaly on drums. As always, it's free to get in, but if you like what you hear, donations are accepted. 10pm. 2149 S. Halsted. 21+
