Harry Shearer's The Big Uneasy
Harry Shearer's new documentary about New Orleans life after Hurricane Katrina, The Big Uneasy, screens tonight at Landmark's Century Centre (2828 N. Clark), and at the Lake theater in Oak Park (1020 Lake Street). Showtimes at both theaters are 7pm and 9:30pm tonight.
Future Rock @ Edible Audible Picnic
Grab your lunch and take it to Pritzker Pavilion at noon for an Edible Audible Picnic. Chicagoans Mickey Kellerman and Felix Moreno, alongside drummer Darren Heitz, are the driving force behind Future Rock. During their explosive live show, all three members wield synthesizers and live loops. Maintaining a heavy touring schedule, they blend the approaches of a traditional band with those of electronic musicians seamlessly into an unforgettable dance party.
