"It's Time to Laugh" hosted by comedian and WGCI (107.5FM) personality Leon Rogers, happens tonight at UIC Forum, 725 W. Roosevelt Rd. Gospel Comedy Explosion @ Harold Washington Cultural Center

The Harold Washington Cultural Center, 4701 S. King Dr., presents a "Gospel Comedy Explosion," tonight at 6pm and 10pm. This night of profanity-free comedy will feature Chicago's own Ron Baker, Jr. (BET's "Comic View"), Lester Barrie ("Martin Lawrence's 1st Amendment Stand-Up") and Lena Green. Chicago Human Rhythm Project @ Harris Theater

The Chicago Human Rhythms Project (CHRP) will conclude its 20th season during Thanksgiving weekend performances at Harris Theater, 205 E. Randolph St. When you purchase a ticket to any of these performances, you'll be giving back to Chicago area non-profits through the Thanks 4 Giving program. You will receive a ten percent discount just by mentioning an area non-profit when purchasing your ticket. Plus, CHRP will donate 50 percent of the revenue from your ticket purchase to the organization you mention. The performance begins at 7 pm. Lawrence Peters Outfit, Mar Caribe, Majors Junction @ Hideout

Explore the sounds of Mar Caribe at the Hideout on Friday. They might be from Chicago, but they're bringing a melting pot of music with a little southwest flavor dipped in some South American style. Here's a cute lil' animated video for their song "Deux Petits Bateaux". The Old Town School of Folk Music has two amazing shows lined up this holiday week (see Saturday for the other). Friday night means honkytonk with Junior Brown with two shows (at 7pm and 10pm) tonight with openers Belleville Outfit. Sing-A-Long Sound of Music @ The Music Box Theatre

Back by popular demand, the Music Box Theatre presents its annual Sing-A-Long Sound of Music! The film is complete with subtitles so the whole audience can along. There will also be a costume contest, so remember to dress up as your favorite character! Vintage Bazaar Pop-Up Boutique Opening Reception

Avoid last-minute holiday shopping, and find something charming and retro at the Vintage Bazaar Pop-Up Boutique. This weekend-long event (runs through Sunday) starts tonight with an opening reception at the bazaar's storefront location, 2955 W. Lyndale, 5-9pm -- attendees can browse the boutique and enjoy beer and snacks. Tickets are limited and can be purchased online ($10), and icket buyers will be entered to win a pair of tickets to The Sea & Cake at Lincoln Hall on Saturday, November 27.
