Too Much Light Anniversary Performances @ Neo-Futurarium

The Neo-Futurists present a celebration of 22 years of performing their long-running late night show Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind by performing a selection of their best plays this weekend. Current and alumni members will be in the show this weekend, so this will be your chance to see some of the best material that's been written over the years. Songs of Good Cheer @ Old Town School of Folk Music

The Old Town School of Folk Music presents their 12th year of Songs of Good Cheer, the annual benefit for the school and local charities. Chicago Tribune columnists Mary Schmich and Eric Zorn are your hosts for an evening of holiday songs performed by school staff. The show starts at 7:30pm tonight, and tickets are $40. Appetite for Africa Lecture and Lunch @ Sikia

The Culinary Historians of Chicago host a lecture on the cuisine of Africa today at 10am at Sikia Restaurant of Washburne Culinary Institute, 740 W 63rd St. Northwestern prof Robert Launay will talk followed by an optional lunch of African fare served by culinary students.
