Tonight marks the opening of the photographic career of the late recluse and North Shore nanny Vivian Maier, whose stunning body of work was discovered at a storage locker auction. An opening reception runs from 5:30 to 7:30pm; the exhibit runs through April 3 at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington.
Tonight the David Weinberg Gallery will host its last opening. The show, entitled The Collective, will be a salon style exhibition featuring 21 of their artists. This final exhibit is an opportunity for the gallery to support their artists and display some of their finest works for the last time.
