Tommy Wiseau presents The Room @ Music Box

The Music Box Theatre welcomes back Tommy Wiseau, the director/writer/star of the cult classic The Room. Cobra Skulls @ Beat Kitchen

Cobra Skulls are back and with a new EP called Bringing The War Home. They are playing Saturday, February 12th at Beat Kitchen (2100 W. Belmont). Chicago Ukulele Cabaret Valentine's Day show @ Silvie's

Chicago Ukulele Cabaret, the regular open mike night for ukulele players, has its Valentine's Day show this evening starting at 8pm at Silvie's Lounge (1902 W. Irving Park Road). Musicians are invited to bring up to 3 romantic songs to play on stage; an ukulele has to be included in the arrangements of all songs. TYPEFORCE 2 @ Co-Prosperity Sphere

The opening reception for Typeforce 2 is tonight at Bridgeport's Co-Prosperity Sphere (3219 S Morgan St) from 6 to 11P. The second annual showcase of emerging "typographic all-stars" includes work from Chicago talents including: 3st, Andy Luce, Bud Rodecker, Emily Van Hoff, Frances MacLeod, Gary Rozanc, Jarred Kolar, Jessica Lynn White, Justin Gilman, Kyle Fletcher, Margo Yoon, Mark Addison Smith, Meng Yang, Nancy McCabe, Nicole Briant, Quite Strong, Scott Reinhard, Sonnenzimmer, Studio 1a.m. and Tami Churns. The show runs through March 7th.

Swap-O-Rama-Rama

Swap-O-Rama-Rama clothing swap returns to Chicago today from 9am to 5pm at the Chicago Waldorf School, 1300 W. Loyola Ave. For $20 and a bag of clothes, you can load up a bag of new-to-you clothes, as well as take advantage of sewing machines and silkscreening rigs to modify your new acquisitions. The day will also feature workshops in sewing, button making, jewelry making, embroidery, knitting and fabric art.

Blackhawks Fans' Breast Cancer Fundraiser @ Bottom Lounge

Chicks Who Give a Puck and Second City Hockey have teamed up to present a Chicago Blackhawks road watch event at Bottom Lounge (1375 W. Lake). Join the city's finest hockey fans while supporting Young Survival Coalition, an international organization devoted to helping young women diagnosed with breast cancer. You will receive one raffle entry for every $5 donated for the chance to win autographed Blackhawks and Rockford IceHogs memorabilia. The event starts at 6 p.m.; the puck drops for Blackhawks-Coyotes at 7.

Lupe Sanchez performs his "semi-falsified, autobiographical one-man performance", PORQUE NO COMES, tonight at Gorilla Tango Theatre (1919 N. Milwaukee Ave). PORQUE NO COMES (Because You Don't Eat) is the comedic story of a Latino boy (Lupe himself) growing up in a white suburb (Schaumburg to be specific), and his journey to find understanding and identity.
