2011 Windy City Story Slam Championships @ Double Door

IKC Dog Show @ McCormick Place

Chicago hosts the 2011 International Cluster of Dog Shows, an annual event organized by the International Kennel Club. One of the largest all-breed benched dog shows in the country, the shows take over McCormick Place North Building, 2301 S. Lake Shore Dr., Saturday and today from 8am to 5pm. See more than 10,000 dogs from 167 breeds compete to be Best in Show, and explore a trade show floor full of dog products. Me So Far @ 826CHI

Me So Far, an experimental new dating platform, has its first test run tonight at 5:30pm at 826CHI, 1331 N. Milwaukee Ave. A group of 12 "talkers" will create slide presentations about themselves ahead of time, and show them at the event to 65 "listeners." Afterward, everyone gets a chance to mingle and get to know each other. Register on the website to participate. Free.

WingFest @ Bailey Auditorium

The twelfth annual Chicago WingFest will once again be held at the Bailey Auditorium, 1340 W. Washington. The event will take place today from 1pm to 6pm. General Admission tickets are $25 and VIP tickets are $50 and can be purchased here.

Dropkick Murphys w/ Against Me! @ Congress Theater

This is the second night of the Dropkick Murphys's two-night stay in Chicago. These Irish punks are celebrating the upcoming release of their seventh studio album Going Out In Style, due out March 1. Get ready for that fervent Celtic energy that these guys are famous for.

Against Me! will be opening the show. AM!'s fifth album White Crosses, earned them spots on several big-name "Best of 2010" lists.
