Tonight, at 6pm, the Harold Washington Library, 400 S. State St., present "raptivist" and author, Sister Souljah, as she discusses and signs her latest novel, Midnight and the Meaning of Love, the story of the expression of love and the various ways in which people express love. "How Art Works: The Impact of Art on Chicago Movements" @ Jane Addams Hull-House Museum

Neighborhood Writing Alliance presents "How Art Works: The Impact of Art on Chicago Movements," from 6pm-8pm tonight at Jane Addams Hull-House Museum, 800 S. Halsted. This panel discussion, moderated by Mariame Kaba, will focus on a variety of artistic mediums and social movements across Chicago and how art is used to further specific causes, including youth development and inter-generational collaboration. Panelists include Credell Walls of Roots and Shoots, Mindy Faber, media educator and founder of Open Youth Networks, spoken word and hip-hop vocalist Tasleem el-Hakim and Joyce Fernandes of archi-treasures. Earth Day Bar Event @ uncommon ground

uncommon ground on Clark (3800 N. Clark St.) is hosting a four-course dinner with pairings featuring Michigan's Seedling Fruit Farm and wines from Von Beaumont distributing of Downers Grove. WONKA BALL 2011: A Royal Wedding @ SAIC Ballroom

Polish your tiaras! Before Prince William and Kate Middleton tie the knot across the pond, About Face Theatre is throwing its own royal wedding at WONKA BALL 2011. AFT's premier fundraising event will be held tonight at the School of the Art Institute Ballroom, 112 S. Michigan Ave., at 6:30pm with a VIP reception at 5:30pm. Exploring Händel @ Harold Washington Library

The Harold Washington Library, 400 S. State St., presents "Exploring Händel Through Movement/Exploring Movement Through Händel,"performed by Chicago harpist Claire Happel. Happel explores German composer Händel's Harp Concerto in B-flat through a series of choreographed dance movements by post-WWII choreographers including Twyla Tharp, Merce Cunningham, Pina Bausch, and Mark Morris. Meat Workshop @ Kitchen Chicago

Slow Food Chicago is sponsoring a meat-know-how workshop today from 10:30 to 1 pm at Kitchen Chicago, 324 N. Leavitt. In this hand-on class, you will learn how to prepare spring lamb with peas, an integral part of the the traditional Southern Italian Easter meal. You will also learn how to handle other cuts of spring lamb, such as shoulder chops, perfect for a quick and flavorful work night dinner. Lamb will be provided by Mint Creek Farm and Viktorija Todorovska is the instructor for the day. Viktorija studied Italian cooking at Apicius, in Florence, Italy and is a food and wine educator in Chicago. Tickets are $35 for Slow Food members, $45 for non-members, available here.

Wendy McClure @ Book Cellar

Local author Wendy McClure will discuss her latest book Wilder Life: My Adventures in the Lost World of Little House on the Prairie tonight. Author Julie Klam says "The Wilder Life evoked so much of an almost palpable nostalgia that I felt like I was walking into my childhood dollhouse every time I opened the book. DJ Kentaro @ Abbey Pub

Japan's DJ Kentaro makes his Chicago debut at the The Abbey (3420 W. Grace St) tonight as part of Ninja Tune's XX Anniversary series. The 2002 DMC World Champion will be joined by Chicago DJs Intel, Limbs and Demchuk. Doors open at 8pm, show starts at 8:30pm. Tickets range from $10-12.
