Featuring a dinner cooked by the chefs from The Bristol, Nightwood, and one sixtyblue, as well as a butching demonstration from Rob Levitt of the Butcher and Larder, this all-day trip to Slagel Family Farms (bus transportation to and from Chicago included) offers a step closer to the farm-to-table trend for the average diner. On the farm!). Kids are welcome with adult supervision, and tickets can be purchased online for $200 $125 per person (less for young ones). The bus picks everyone up at Nightwood, 2119 S. Halsted, promptly at noon; Slagel Farms is located at 23601 E. 600 North Road in Fairbury, IL. Call 815-848-9385 with any questions.
