Flights and Bites @ The Bad Apple

Join the lovely Bapple staff and Founders Brewing for an evening of appetizers paired with beers at the Bad Apple to kick of American Craft Beer Week. Beers from the Grand Rapids, MI brewer will include Curmudgeon, Double Trouble, Imperial Stout and more, with such accompanying snacks as pulled pork corn arepas, oxtail sliders, cirtus scallops and asparagus, and coffee cupcakes. $30 covers the spread, more details on the Bad Apple website.

Chaplin Double Feature @ Film Center

The Gene Siskel Film Center presents the kick-off screenings for a Charlie Chaplin festival that will run through June 30. This afternoon you can see The Kid at 3pm, and a program of Chaplin shorts at 5pm. You may see either program separately, or purchase tickets for both programs at a discount. 4th Annual Andersonville Wine Walk @ In Fine Spirits

On a sunny Sunday afternoon, you can walk through Andersonville's shopping district sipping on your favorite newly-found pinot. In Fine Spirits has spread around some of their most popular wines to retailers in the area. You bring your "Andersonville Wine Walk" specially marked glass into the store and they give you three samples of wine. One glass gains you access to 11 stores with 3 samplings each, plus a refreshment stop at which you can kick it up a notch and enjoy a beer and liquor tasting to cleanse your palate.
