The Chicago Nerds Social Club holds their 21st science fiction & fantasy book club meeting tonight at Noble Tree Cafe (2444 N. Clark). Tonight's book for discussion is Things We Think About Games by Will Hindmarch and Jeff Tidball. The meetings runs from 6:30pm to 8pm, and is free. Comedians with a Heart @ Beat Kitchen
Co-produced by Wood Sugars and The Starving Artist Project, Comedians With A Heart is a benefit stand-up comedy show tonight at 8pm at Beat Kitchen, 2100 W. Belmont Ave. Comedians Beth Stelling, Ryan Walker, Lisa Laureta, Mike Lebovitz, Cameron Esposito, Tiffany Puterbaugh and Bess McGeorge, with music by Chris Condren. The show is hosted by Nancy Fast. Your $10 admission includes a raffle ticket for some great prizes, and all proceeds go toward paying medical expenses for Mary Mainard, the mother of The Starving Artist Project's Ever Mainard.
