The Chicago Story Collective presents "Summer Lovin': Stories of Sex, Sweat... and Romance" @ Stage 773

The Chicago Story Collective meets once again, this time for their newest storytelling showcase: "Summer Lovin': Stories of Sex, Sweat... and Romance." Storytellers Keith Ecker and Alyson Lyon of Essay Fiesta, Dana Norris of Story Club, and Stories at the Store's Jen Bosworth will share totally true tales of awkward devirginizations, carnal pleasure, and puppy love. Joining the CSC will be TimeOut Chicago's sex expert Debby Herbenick, who will be fielding anonymous sex questions from the audience, and burlesque performances by Vaudezilla. Show starts at 8pm at Stage 773 (1225 W. Belmont), tickets are $8 and can be purchased at the ticket office.

It Came From the Neo-Futurarium: Tiptoes

The Neo-Futurists continue the 10th year of It Came From The Neo-Futurarium, their annual series of staged readings of movie scripts, with a production of the infamous 2003 movie Tiptoes, directed by Neo-Futurist alumnus Noelle Krimm. Do312 1-Year Birthday Bash

WI Rise Up: An Art In These Times Exhibition

Art In These Times, the community gallery at In These Times' office (2040 N. Milwaukee Ave.), presents a new exhibition of posters and photographs from ongoing labor demonstrations in Wisconsin that began on February 14, 2011. The exhibition is a collaboration with Nicolas Lampert and will feature prints and placards he has collected as an active participant in the labor and community rallies in Madison. An opening party will be held at 7pm tonight, in conjunction with the Working-Class Studies Conference at UIC. "The Hard Times Trio," a jazz group which performs classic labor songs, will perform. The artwork will be on display through the summer and fall. The exhibition features screenprints and off-set posters from rallies in Madison and Milwaukee and features prints by Nicolas Lampert, Colin Matthes, Eric Drooker, Jesus Barraza, Josh MacPhee, Jesse Graves and others. The photography of Lauren Cumbia (who co-organizes the gallery space with Daniel Tucker), Brandon Pittser and the Public Collectors archive will also be exhibited.

Grafitti Zone's Spring Fundraiser @ Chicago Urban Arts Society

Four youth artists -- winners of Graffiti Zone's Next Top Artist Contest will be honored tonight at GZ's Spring Fundraiser. The event will take place at Chicago Urban Arts Society: 2229 S. Halsted from 6 to 9pm. Hosted by Chicago hip hop performer Philip Morris, described as "one of the ultimate word smiths of hip-hop (Skope Magazine)," the evening will feature catering by Green Cuisine, open bar, silent auction and performances by Opera-Matic with sound by Mark Messing. Ample free parking is available behind the building, off of Cermak. Tickets are $35 at the door, or online at graffitizone.org. All proceeds to benefit Graffiti Zone, a non profit arts organization serving the 29th ward.

Celebrating Katherine Dunham @ Harold Washington Library

As part of its "Dancing in the Library" series, the Harold Washington Library Center, 400 S. State St., presents "The 102nd Birthday Celebration of Katherine Dunham," featuring the Spirit Wing Dance Ensemble, along with top Chicago dancers and musicians. Gold and platinum recording artist Max-A-Million will also be featured in this tribute to Dunham, an African-American dance legend. This free event takes places today at 12:15pm in the library's Pritzker Auditorium. For more information, call 312-747-4300.

Luxury Garage Sale features new or gently used contemporary and designer clothing, artwork, and other items for the home.
