The Chicago Global Runway showcases fashion and jewelry from Southeast Asian designers tonight from 7:30pm to 11pm in Preston Bradley Hall at the Chicago Cultural Center, 78 E. Washington St. Tickets are $75 to $250. Proceeds benefit Save a Mother, a non-profit organization working to reduce maternal and infant mortality in India.
There will also be a pop-up shop featuring pieces by the designers in the show in the Green Room at Hotel Allegro, 171 W. Randolph St., tomorrow, June 25, from 11am to 5pm.
The Chicago Underground Library is raising funds for a new home with a benefit party at Beauty Bar, 1444 W. Chicago Ave., tonight from 9pm to 2am. In addition to the usual $10 martini and manicure deal, there will be a photobooth by GlitterGuts, a homemmade birthday cake cakewalk, and DJs spinning all night. Hosted Canadian Club drinks from 9 to 10 if you RSVP here. Admission is a minimum $5 donation ($10 requested) in advance or at the door. 21+
Vosges Haut-Chocolat presents Brews + Bacon: A Collaboration in Chocolate at its Lincoln Park boutique, 951 W. Armitage Ave., tonight from 6:30 to 8:30pm.
