It Came From the Neo-Futurarium: KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park

The Neo-Futurists continue the 10th year of It Came From The Neo-Futurarium, their annual series of staged readings of movie scripts, with a remount of from 2006, the ludicrous TV movie KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park, directed by John Pierson and Steve Walker and featuring live music! Third Coast Listening Room @ Old Town School of Folk Music

Bela Fleck & the Flecktones @ The Vic

Enjoy some hot banjo action with the original members of the Flecktones performing under the wing of Bela Fleck himself. Things get oh so funky at The Vic at 8pm tonight. Conversation & Cocktails: An Evening with Barbara Hashimoto

Chicago Artists' Coalition presents "Conversation & Cocktails: An evening with acclaimed artist Barbara Hashimoto." This event, taking place from 6pm to 8pm tonight at BauerLatoza Studio: 2241 S. Wabash Ave., will include an artist talk, a tour of the studio and a chance to experience Hashimoto's installations, as well as a cocktail reception. Tickets are on sale now. Space is limited. Tickets are $15 for CAC Collectors Circle Members and $40 for the general public.


US Air Guitar Dark Horse Qualifier @ Parlour

The US Air Guitar Championship Finals are Saturday at the Metro, but tonight at Parlour, 6341 N. Clark St., competitors have one last chance to battle their way onstage. The Dark Horse Invitational starts at 8pm, when hand-picked air guitarists strut their stuff -- along with a few current and past champs. No cover, 21+.

Green City Market BBQ @ Lincoln Park

For 100 bucks tonight you can get small bites from practically every privately-owned restaurant in Chicago, served by the hard working back of the house folks that we rarely get to see. Sample over 100 dishes from all over Chicago, while sipping on Koval cocktails, Half Acre, Goose Island and Piece brews, and are adequately smashed and delightfully full.
