Facets Night School: Lover Come Back

Facets Cinematheque presents Facets Night School, its occasional series of midnight cult film screenings paired with guest lecture/discussion sessions. Tonight's movie is Lover Come Back from 1961, starring Doris Day and Rock Hudson in an overlooked successor to Pillow Talk. Sheffield Garden Walk

Glenwood Avenue) for Jimmy Doyle's solo piece: Must Be Nice, in which he finds himself battling a climate hostile to fair skin and intellectualism, all the while threatening to cash in his dual citizenship and live on a farm in Ireland. Puzzle Hunt @ Marbles Lincoln Square

Chase down clues and figure out puzzles in Marbles' first annual puzzle hunt. Teams of up to five people pit their puzzle prowess against each other for a grand prize of a $100 gift certificate to any Marbles store (and glory, of course). The hunt kicks off at 10am starting at the Marbles at 4745 N Lincoln Ave. Registration is $25 per team, but that fee is waived if you solve the puzzle on the event flyer. US Air Guitar Championship National Finals

Gapers Block presents the US Air Guitar National Championships at the Metro, 3730 N. Clark St., tonight. Come see the best air guitarists in the country -- including our own champ Nordic Thunder -- duke it out for supreme airness and the opportunity to represent America at the world championships in Oulu, Finland. The Chicago Vegan Chef Showdown

Are you a fan of Upton's Naturals? Serving the finest in faux meat products, Upton's seitan will be the secret ingredient to this weekend's Vegan Chef Showdown held at The Funky Buddha Lounge. Twenty individual chefs, or teams of chefs, will compete for the title of Chicago's Best Vegan Chef! All ages, open to the public. $1 suggested donation per sample.
