Ms. Mint's Holiday Bazaar

Ms. Mint's 2nd annual Holiday Bazaar is a curated grassroots gift bazaar that brings together regional food artisans, fair trade businesses, designers, authors, community organizations, and more!

The Bazaar will be held at Grossinger City Autoplex 1530 N. Dayton St.

Friday, December 16 from 3-8pm; Saturday, December 17 from 11-6pm

Dollhouse Reading Series @ 1850 W. Belle Plaine, #3

Tonight, check out the Dollhouse Reading Series, a "casual, salon-style, Chicago-based BYOB reading series every six to seven weeks, because who doesn't love a good party with their poetry?" Held in a private residence ("and if that weirds you out, get over it"), the Dollhouse is hosted by Dolly Lemke and Stephen Danos. This week's featured readers include James Shea, Kelly Forsythe, Susan Yount and "virtual guest" Heather Christle. It all goes down at 1850 W. Belle Plaine Ave., #3, doors open at 7:30pm, reading at 8pm.

The Interrupters @ Film Center

The Gene Siskel Film Center presents a return engagement of the very popular 2011 film The Interrupters, the latest film by Chicago's Kartemquin Films that chronicles the work done by the organization CeaseFire to stop violence on the streets. Holiday Sing Along @ Old Town School of Folk Music

The Old Town School of Folk Music hosts one of its regular Six String socials this evening at 6:30pm at their Armitage location (909 W. Armitage Avenue). Tonight's song theme: holiday songs. Attendees are invited to bring their instruments to play along with the group, or just come to sing along. Registration fee is just $5. 28th Annual Music Box Christmas Show

The Music Box Theatre presents their 28th annual Christmas double feature, with screenings of the classics It's A Wonderful Life and Holiday Inn. There will be Christmas carols sung before the films, and an appearance by Santa Claus himself! Coworking Social @ The COOP

Desktime, The Coop Chicago, Uber and Refresh Chicago host the Coworking Social & Toy Drive tonight from 6:30pm to 11pm in their shared space (aka The Coop) at 230 W. Superior St., 2nd floor. Each guest who brings a new, unwrapped toy will receive $10 worth of Uber credits to use whenever, wherever, with whoever. All toys will be donated through the WGN Morning News Drive-Thru Toy Drive to Jennifer Hudson's Julian D. King Gift Foundation.

Illinois Artisans Holiday Art Spree

The Illinois Artisans Program presents its Holiday Art Spree Dec. 14-16 in the Thompson Center atrium, 100 W. Randolph St., from 10am to 3:30pm. Browse the works of nearly 20 artists. Free.

Windy City Fight Night 20 @ UIC Pavillion

The Polish Prince, Andrzej Fonfara headlines Windy City Fight Night 20 at the UIC Pavillion, 525 South Racine Ave., tonight, in a ten-round bout against Minnesota native, Phil The Drill Williams. Undercard fights include local favorites Adrian Granados, Jaime Herrera, and newcomer Luis Santiago. Tickets are priced between $31 to $76. Doors open at 7pm. First Bell at 8pm.
