Tomorrow Never Knows 2012: Lunice @ Lincoln Hall

Tomorrow Never Knows, a five-day music festival happening at various Chicago venues, starts tonight with performances by cooking expert Lunice and future pop by Theophilus London at Lincoln Hall. Crispin Hellion Glover @ Music Box

The Music Box Theatre hosts a two-night appearance by none other than Crispin Hellion Glover. Tonight he's hosting a screening of his film "It is fine! EVERYTHING IS FINE", along with a live dramatic presentation by Mr. Glover accompanied by a slide show. Chicago Arts District 2nd Fridays

It's the second Friday of the month, which means galleries and studios in the Chicago Arts District (aka East Pilsen, centered on Halsted & 18th streets) are open from 6pm to 10pm tonight. Free. Details here.

Architecture for Humanity "Holiday Hangover"

The Chicago chapter of Architecture for Humanity celebrates the new year with its third annual Holiday Hangover party at Black Cloud Gallery, 1909 S. Halsted St., tonight from 6pm to 10pm. Learn more about the group's projects, enjoy beer donated by New Belgium, wine by Noble Grape, whiskey tasting from Koval and food by Trader Joe's, and find out what the deal is with the ping pong balls. Free.

Sketchfest

The Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival, aka Sketchfest, runs from Jan. 5 to Jan. 15 this year at Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont Ave. At least a dozen shows run every night; see the schedule for tonight's performances. Tickets are $12-13 each, available online or through the box office at 773-327-5252.

Show You Suck @ Reggie's

Local Hip-Hop favorites Show You Suck, The Whoevers, and Chandler London, headline tonight's Mo Slices Mo Problems event at Reggie's, 2109 S. State St., to celebrate the release of Show You Suck's One Man Pizza Party album. Doors open at 10:30pm. Cover is $5 before midnight and $8 after. 18+.

Me So Far

Me So Far, the storytelling dating event, takes place tonight from 7:30pm to 11pm at the Den Theatre, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave., 2nd floor. The theme this time around is "newly single and ready to mingle," and will feature presentations by, as you can probably guess, recently single men and women. Registration is $20.
