Unfolding Space Opening @ Floating World

Floating World Gallery, 1925 N. Halsted St., celebrates the opening of Unfolding Space, an architectural installation featuring the work of architect Charlotte Page and the mezzotint prints of Japanese artist Yozo Hamaguchi, with a reception tonight from 6pm to 8pm. Complementary drinks by Koval Distillery will be served.

Atomic Comics @ Mayne Stage

"Atomic Comics: Masters of the Humorverse," a showcase of some the most talented performers in Chicago, debuts at the Mayne Stage, 1328 W. Morse Ave., tonight at 8pm. The evening's lineup features comedians Candy Lawrence, Chris Condren, Abby McEnany, Carrie Callahan, Dan Telfer and host Ever Mainard. A book drive for Zealous Good, a Chicago based social enterprise startup. Donors will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize from Gapers Block! Tickets are $15 or $20 for reserved seating. Doors open at 6:30pm. 18+

LEGACY: Our Wealth of Music @ University of Chicago

Tonight at 7pm, the University of Chicago's International House, 1414 E. 59th St., presents singer and performer Maggie Brown in "LEGACY: Our Wealth of Music." This one-woman show features Brown singing and performing in a tribute to the history and legacy of African-American music. Tickets are $7-$15 and are available online. Ha Ha Tonka @ Lincoln Hall

Bloodshot artists Ha Ha Tonka make their way up north from their Springfield, Missouri home base to perform at Lincoln Hall tonight as an opener for San Francisco band Tea Leaf Green. Kulturkueche: Krautwickel @ Dank Haus

Learn to make the German delicacy Krautwickel (i.e. steamed beef wrapped in cabbage leaves) tonight at 7:30pm at Dank Haus, 4740 North Western. The $18 admission covers materials and includes demonstration, recipes, tasting and one beverage. Reservations required.
