Ukulele Workshop @ Old Town School of Folk Music
Ukulele instructor Lanialoha Lee does an in-store appearance at the Different Strummer music store at the Old Town School of Folk Music, 4544 N. Lincoln Avenue, tonight at 7:30pm to give a basic introductory ukulele workshop. The event is free and open to the public.
The Interrupters @ Francis Parker School
Francis W. Parker School, 330 W. Webster Ave., screens The Interrupters tonight at 7pm as part of its Nightviews speaker series. Following the film, Kathryn Saclarides, director of violence prevention at Enlace Chicago, and CeaseFire violence interrupter Eddie Bocanegra will discuss their work to interrupt the violence in Chicago neighborhoods.
