Chicago celebrates one small step for man and his stomach with the first annual Chicago Food Truck Day, an event to rally city support for the upcoming July 19th hearing. The first 19 visitors of participating food trucks will receive something free. The day ends with a celebration at Fishman's LIquors.
The Metro celebrates 30 years as one of Chicago's best rock clubs with a retrospective exhibition of photography and memorabilia at the Inland Steel Building downtown at 77 S. Dearborn. It opens with a reception tonight from 5pm to 8pm, featuring DJ sets by Mister Wolf, Mother Hubbard, Greg Corner and Zebo.

Many of the city's best chefs converge on Lincoln Park tonight for a high-end barbecue benefiting the Green City Market. Food, drinks, entertainment--sounds better than cooking it yourself! Adult tickets start at $125 (kids 12 and under are $25). Event runs 5:30-8pm at 1750 N. Clark St.
Andersonville Development Corporation sponsors an evening of sampling a heap of home-brewed beer in honor of its annual Green Week celebration. Food, music and the good feeling of supporting a good cause are also on tap. The winning beer will get a seasonal selling stint at Hamburger Mary's. Tickets are $15. The event is at the Neo-Futurarium, 5153 N. Ashland Ave., and starts at 6pm.
The Chicago History Museum leads a walking tour of the bars that made Bucktown famous (or in some cases, mildly liveable). Tour runs 7-10pm, cost $25-30.
The Better Boys Foundation and Facets Multimedia screen three documentaries about Chicago -- And This Is Free, Jerry's Deli and Moon's -- outside in the foundation's courtyard at 1512 S. Pulaski Rd. as part of the Sundown in K-Town Film Festival. Filmmakers Gordon Quinn, Tom Palazzolo and Angelo Williams will do a Q&A after the films. Doors open at 7:45, screenings start at sundown (around 8:15pm). Free; donations accepted.
Tonight at Lincoln Hall, 2424 N. Lincoln Ave., The Show 'n Tell Show does a Flatstock Edition in conjunction with the annual poster fair at the Pitchfork Music Festival. Michael Renaud, Zach Dodson host an evening with poster makers Steve Walters of Screwball Press, Burlesque of North America, The Silent Giants, Casey Burns and Sonnenzimmer. It's part of Lincoln Hall's Pitchfork Festival Weekend. Tickets are $5. 21+
The third annual Windy City Burlesque Fest kicks off with two free shows at the Lincoln Tap Room, 3010 N. Lincoln Ave., tonight starting at 9pm. Shirley Knot hosts, with performances by Boobs Radley, Cruel Valentine, Lucy Flawless, Patsy Blue Ribbon, Po' Chop, Saucy Jack, Dirty Devlin, Josephine Shaker, Lady India de Minuit, Miss Alyssa Kitt, Red Rum, Special K, Titty Perkins and more. 21+
