"Get Up and Go!" Beverly Tour @ Chicago Cultural Center

Chicago's "Get Up and Go!" neighborhood conversation and tour series continues today with Beverly. Hosted by Mark Bazer, host of The Hideout's acclaimed Interview Show, the tour begins with a discussion about Beverly's highlights and history followed by a visit to the borough. The tour is free and begins in the Chicago Cultural Center's 5th Floor Millennium Park Room, 78 E. Washington St., at 12:15pm with the Q&A session lasting approximately 40 minutes. The tour will last approximately one hour and will depart from and return to the Chicago Cultural Center via public transportation. Reservations are recommended and can be booked online here.

Bike-In Movie Theater: Rushmore

Whole Foods Lincoln Park, 1550 N. Kingsbury St., hosts a screening of Rushmore on the roof tonight at 8:30pm. at 8:30pm. Stop by the 1550 Bar inside the store between 7:30pm and 8:15pm for a pre-reception with New Belgium Beer specials. Admission is $5 at the door, or register in advance (call 312-587-0648 or email mw.kbs.marketing[at]wholefoods.com) to be entered to win a special prize. The first 50 people to register in advance receive a goodie bag. All proceeds will benefit local non-profit Sundown in K-Town Film Festival. Filmmakers Mike James and Stephanie Gipson and gang activist Jose "Cha Cha" Jimenez and will do a Q&A after the films. Doors open at 7:45, screenings start at sundown (around 8:15pm). Free; donations accepted.
