Wanderlust Art Fest @ Bottom Lounge

The Bottom Lounge, 1375 W. Lake St., hosts Wanderlust Art Fest in the Volcano Room at 6pm tonight. View the work of more than 15 artists and, if you're one of the first 75 people through the door, enjoy a pig roast -- pulled pork plus sides for just $5 a plate. Admission is free. 21+

SummerBrew 2012

The Lincoln Square Chamber of Commerce hosts SummerBrew 2012, a beer lover's pre-party for the Square Roots Festival this weekend. From 6:30pm to 10pm in the city parking lot at 4533 N. Lincoln Ave., sample 15 beers from Two Brothers, 5 Rabbit, Finch, Founders, Greenbush, Half Acre, Hinterland, Metropolitan, New Holland and Vander Mill Cider that won't be available at the festival. The Grafton Pub and Fountainhead will serve food. Admission is $20, which includes a complimentary 9oz. glass and your first beer; food and beer tickets are $1 apiece. 21+

Made in Chicago: World Class Jazz

The Made in Chicago: World Class Jazz series kicks off in Millennium Park's Pritzker Pavilion with a performance of Blowin' In from Chicago by tenor saxophonists Edward Wilkerson Jr. and Ari Brown, with Harrison Bankhead on bass, Ken Chaney on piano and Ernie Adams on drums. Members of the Jazz Institute of Chicago's Jazz Links Students Ensembles open. The free show begins at 6:30pm.

Sundown in K-Town @ Better Boys Foundation

The Better Boys Foundation and Facets Multimedia screen The Chicago Maternity Center Story outside in the foundation's courtyard at 1512 S. Pulaski Rd. as part of the Sundown in K-Town Film Festival. Sharene Miller, who is featured in the film, co-director Suzanne Davenport and young filmmaker Gabrielle Ivy will do a Q&A after the films. Doors open at 7:45pm, screenings start at sundown (around 8:15pm). Free; donations accepted.
