Broadway in Chicago @ Millennium Park
Broadway in Chicago presents a free concert in the Pritzker Pavilion at Millennium Park tonight at 6:15pm. Hosted by ABC-7's Janet Davies, the concert will feature performances by Grammy and Emmy Award-winning Cyndi Lauper with members of the cast from the pre-Broadway world premiere of her new musical Kinky Boots, Joey the horse from War Horse and Cathy Rigby as Peter Pan, as well as castmembers from other current and upcoming Broadway in Chicago plays.
Forgotten Chicago's "The Bloomingdale Line" Discussion @ Comfort Station
This evening Terence Banich of Forgotten Chicago will present a lecture and discussion entitled "The Bloomingdale Line, a study of a former link to interstate commerce." The event runs from 7pm-9pm at the Comfort Station, 2579 N. Milwaukee Ave. Also on view will be David Schalliol's photographs of The Bloomingdale. Free.
Impress These Apes
Comedy competition Impress These Apes continues tonight at ComedySportz, 929 W. Belmont Ave., at 8pm. Watch as eight contestants vie for the approval of a panel hyperintelligent apes (and the audience) through a series of challenges. Tickets are $10.
