The 10th Annual Chicago Turkish Festival concludes today at Daley Plaza, 50 W. Washington St. It features live folk dance performances, art, music, fashion, and more between noon and 2pm. More than 40 booths will sell authentic Turkish cuisine and handicrafts. Free admission. Festival starts at 10m, ends at 6 pm.
Today at 11:30am, the Union League Club, 65 W. Jackson, hosts NBA star and Chicago native Dwyane Wade as he signs A Father First:How My Life Became Bigger Than Basketball, his new book about fatherhood and raising two sons. Free. For more information, call 312-427-7800.

The Hideout, 1354 W. Wabansia Ave., hosts Veggie Bingo from 5:30 to 8pm on Wednesdays. Co-sponsored by NeighborSpace, Hideout Veggie Bingo features a grand prize of fresh produce from Irv and Shelly's Fresh Picks, plus many more prizes donated by various local organizations and individuals. There are also free hot dogs donated by Hot Doug's! Bingo cards are $2 each, or three for $5; all proceeds benefit local gardens.

Oregonian doom metal's never really sounded as good as Yob. 2011's Atma album was a nice leap forward and, hopefully, they'll have a little something new in store at the Beat Kitchen.
