The Art of Fashion 2012 @ Millennium Park
StyleChicago.com presents The Art of Fashion 2012, a runway show previewing spring 2013 collections from accomplished Chicago designers and fashion lines, including Barbara Bates, Borris Powell, Eva Pazola, Michael Alan Stein, Michelle Tan, Nade Baer, Ruchika Singh, Shalini Sharma, Shernett Swaby, and Lara Miller. The show begins at 7:30pm in a tent on the Chase Promenade North in Millennium Park. Tickets are $35, or $95 for VIP admission, which includes a pre-party at 6pm.
El Vez @ Old Town School of Folk Music
The Old Town School of Folk Music presents El Vez, the Mexican Elvis impersonator, in his "El Vez 4 Prez" show tonight at 8pm. The concert happens in the concert hall in the school's main building at 4544 N. Lincoln Ave. Tickets available through the school's website, or call 773-728-6000.
Yonder Mountain String Band @ HOB
Bluegrass virtuosos Yonder Mountain String Band will strum and stomp on the stage of the House of Blues, 329 N. Dearborn, for the first show of a two-night run. Tickets are $26 in advance, $30 at the doors, or $49 for a two-day pass. 17+. Doors open at 7:30pm, show starts at 8:30pm.
