Abraham Conlon (the forthcoming Fat Rice), Beverly Kim (ex-Bonsoiree and Top Chef angry doormat/contestant), Johnny Anderes (Telegraph), and Matthias Merges (Yusho) join Lula's Jason Hammel for an evening of eating that benefits the Comfort Station. Your $175 ticket gets you the full package: six courses, wine/cocktails, and even the gratuity. Event takes place at Lula Cafe, 2537 N kedzie; cocktail hour starts at 6pm, dinner at 7pm, and music from local band oRSo at 9:30pm.
Carl Weathersby, a local musician and regular fixture at the legendary blues club Kingston Mines, 2548 N. Halsted st., will play a show with J.W. Williams tonight. Tickets are $12 in advance or at the door. Admission is free for college students and faculty with a valid university ID. The show starts at 8pm, 21+.
The hardcore punk rock legends Misfits will play tonight at the House of Blues, 329 N. Dearborn St. The Attack and Private Investigators will also perform. Doors open at 6:30pm, show starts at 8pm. Tickets are $20 in advance, and $22 at the door. 17+.
Ada Street and Facets are team up to present Maxwell Street Blues, a film about the history of Maxwell Street and it's impact on Chicago blues, alongside a five-course dinner and drinks at the restaurant, 1664 N. Ada St. Facets Director and NPR contributor Milos Stehlik is featured as guest speaker. Tickets are $50, and the show starts at 9pm. All proceeds go to Facets (1517 W. Fullerton Ave.).
