Artisan Market Streeterville

Artisan Market Streeterville runs today and Sunday in the Ryan Family Atrium of Northwestern Hospital's Lurie Medical Center, 303 East Superior St., from 10am to 5pm. Browse more than 50 local artisans, as well as gourmet foods from local stores; view participants on Pinterest. Free.

Dose Market

Dose Market runs from 10am to 4pm today at the River East Art Center, 435 E. Illinois St. Shop boutique clothiers, local artisans and gourmet food purveyors -- details here. Admission is $8 in advance, $10 at the door.

MDW Fair

The MDW Fair, an exhibition of grassroots and independent art culture, returns this weekend, Nov. 9-11, at Mana Contemporary, 2233 S. Throop St. From noon to 6pm today, explore the fair's 75-plus artists and watch or participate in events and performances. Admission is free.

Make Believe @ Chicago History Museum

The Chicago History Museum, 1601 N. Clark St., screens Make Believe, a documentary film about teen magicians, today at 1:30pm. Free with museum admission or membership.

Studs' Place @ The Hideout

The Hideout presents a tribute to "Studs' Place", the 1950s TV show starring Studs Terkel. The main event of the tribute is a live performance of a new episode of the series, which will be followed by clips from the original series and a conversation with Mark Dvorak from the Old Town School of Folk Music. That's All She Wrote @ Swim Cafe

GB Staffer and storyteller J.H. Palmer (hey, that's me!) and Angela Benander have teamed up to bring That's All She Wrote to Swim Cafe (1357 W. Chicago Avenue) on the 2nd Sunday of every month. Billed as a non-competitive live lit venue for storytellers of all stripes, this month's lineup includes: Moth GrandSLAM Champion Shannon Cason; Founder and Producer of Story Club Dana Norris; Storyteller Erin Kahoa; and CHIRP's Jenn Sodini. Doors open at 7:30pm, show starts at 8pm. This is a free event, and BYOB.
