The 14th annual FOOD & WINE Chef Showcase returns to Chicago tonight from 6:30-9:30pm at the Museum of Contemporary Art, 220 E. Chicago Ave. The event will feature dishes from some of the city's best chefs, including Stephanie Izard of Girl & the Goat, paired with wines and spirits from around the world. Tickets are $110 in advance and $125 at the door, 21+.
Erasing the Distance presents Will You Stand Up?, a performance of five true stories exploring the connection between violence and mental health, at 7:30pm tonight in the Hoover-Leppen Theatre at Center On Halsted, 3656 N. Halsted Ave., 3rd Fl. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door. The show will also be staged Nov. 13, 19 and 20.
Ada Street and Facets are team up to present Documentary Shorts by Tom Palazzolo, five short comedic documentaries featuring Chicago's eccentric side, alongside a five-course dinner and drinks.
