Chicago Elite Classic @ UIC Pavilion
Chicago Public League boys basketball powerhouses Whitney Young and Simeon team up to host the Chicago Elite Classic at 9am today at the UIC Pavilion, 525 South Racine Ave. The six-game event will feature some of the area's best teams against some of America's most storied high school basketball programs. Besides local superstars Jabari Parker and Jahlil Okafor, upwards of 35 Division I prospects will be on the court. Tickets range from $17-55 for each of the two sessions.

Ugly Sweater Pub Crawl
GiveForward hosts an Ugly Sweater Pub Crawl today starting at 1pm. Put on the nastiest, cheesiest, worst holiday sweater you can find and head to the Goose Island Wrigleyville brewpub, 3535 N. Clark St., to register, then follow the crawl to Rebel Bar & Grill, Sheffields, Uncle Fatty's and Mad River Bar & Grill. The first 100 people to attend will receive a free Santa hat and a $20 Uber credit to use for a free ride home, and everyone wearing a sweater will compete for prizes for the most outrageous sweater. The Fugs @ City Winery
