The Greater Southwest Development Corporation sponsors a trolley tour of Chicago Lawn, West Lawn and Marquette Park today from 10am to 1pm, leaving from the Balzekas Museum of Lithuanian Culture at 6500 S. Pulaski Rd. Tickets are $10 and include lunch.
The Portage Theater, 4050 N. Milwaukee Ave., hosts Santa's Scary Saturday, a kid-friendly monster movie marathon. See Godzilla vs. Megalon, Ghost of Frankenstein, Spaceballs, House of Dark Shadows and Kolchak: The Night Strangler. There will also be a vintage toy and collectibles sale in the lobby. Doors open at 11am, first film at noon. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids.
Subterranean hosts a benefit for Rock For Kids tonight, featuring the bands Coping, CSTVT, Noumenon, and Dowsing. Doors at 8pm, show at 8:30, 17+, and tickets are $8 (purchase in advance). Subterranean: 2011 w. North Avenue. (773) 278-6600.
