The Greater Southwest Development Corporation sponsors a trolley tour of Chicago Lawn, West Lawn and Marquette Park today from 10am to 1pm, leaving from the Balzekas Museum ofâLithuanian Culture at 6500 S. Pulaski Rd. Tickets are $10 and include lunch.
The Portage Theater, 4050 N. Milwaukee Ave., hosts Santa's Scary Saturday, a kid-friendly monster movie marathon. See Godzilla vs. Megalon, Ghost of Frankenstein, Spaceballs, House of Dark Shadows and Kolchak: The Night Strangler. There will also be a vintage toy and collectibles sale in the lobby. Doors open at 11am, first film at noon. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids.
Contemporary jazz trio The Bad Plus play a four-night stand at Jazz Showcase, 806 S. Plymouth Ct., Dec. 20-23. Shows are at 8pm and 10pm. Tickets are $25. 21+
