This weekend's Battle of the Saxes at the Green Mill, 4802 N. Broadway, will be a tribute to Von Freeman, the legendary jazz saxophonist who co-founded the annual battle. Freeman passed away earlier this year; in his place, Eric Schneider will face Ed Catch the show Friday, Saturday and tonight at 8:30pm, followed by a Green Mill Quartet jam session until 4am. Too Much Light New Year's Eve @ The Neo-Futurarium
The Neo-Futurists continue their tradition of hosting a special New Year's Eve edition of their flagship show Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind. The hour-long play kicks off at 11pm sharp, and when the buzzer sounds at midnight the audience toasts the new year! The doors open at 9:30pm for pre-show refreshments.
