FW Murnau's Sunrise @ Music Box

The Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Ave., presents the latest in its weekend silent film matinees this morning at 11:30am. Today's film is FW Murnau's Sunrise from 1927, and features (according to the Music Box website) "the most arodable drunk pig you'll ever see on film." Well, you've GOT to go see that!

Fun-A-Day Kickoff @ Mess Hall

Mess Hall, 6932 N. Glenwood Ave., launches its new Fun-A-Day project with a kickoff event from 2 to 5pm today. Learn how to make all sorts of things, from zines to yo-yos to embroidery, all for free.

Hurricane Sandy Benefit @ Laugh Factory

The Laugh Factory, 3175 N. Broadway, hosts "The World Didn't End," a benefit comedy special for victims of Hurricane Sandy featuring Kenny DeForest, Mike Lebovitz, Aaron Weaver and Martin Morrow, with Sara Benincasa and Dylan McDonald hosting. Tickets are $25, with a two drink minimum. Doors open at 8pm. 21+
