Good Food Festival
The Good Food Festival runs March 14-16 at the UIC Forum, 725 W. Roosevelt Rd. Today's programming begins at 8:30am and revolves around financing for food-related businesses. Registration for today is $95 in advance, $125 at the door.
Hoosiers @ Music Box
The Music Box Theatre presents a special screening of Hoosiers tonight at 7:00pm. The screening will be followed by a discussion of the film by film critic Michael Phillips and Tribune sports columnist David Haugh. TBS Just for Laughs Audition Showcase @ The Lincoln Lodge
Catch some of Chicago's best comics pitching their very best stuff for the talent scouts of Just For Laughs, North America's largest comedy festival at The Lincoln Lodge (4008 N. Lincoln Avenue). Tickets are $5 online or at the door. Shoplifting at American Apparel @ Logan Theater
The Logan Theatre, 2646 N. Milwaukee Ave., hosts a screening of Shoplifting at American Apparel, a documentary based on the book by Tao Lin, tonight at 7:30pm. A Q&A with director Pirooz Kalayeh and the film's screen writer, Brad Warner, will follow the screening, along with a reading in the theater's renovated lobby and bar. Readers include Cean Gamalinda, Dylan York, Scott McClanahan and Heiko Julien. Tickets are $11.
